The photo realistic textures, the day/night transitions and the scale of it all is something that will take mapping to the next level in the coming years. Here's a few more images from the map.
Times Square
City Hall and Tweed Courthouse
Renwick Ruins on Roosevelt Island
McGraw-Hill Building in Midtown
One Worldwide Plaza
Could Sim New York be upstaged by Google Earth New York? Possibly, though it is likely my Google Earth Project will help my sim New York project and serve as a useful reference for Manhattan (the other boroughs aren't mapped out in 3D- yet.)
In the meantime we'll take a 3D tour of the various neighborhoods of Manhattan in the coming months ahead so be on the lookout for that.
More SimCity New York next time.

Great update Hanson, and its ok if it takes awhile for you to edit the 85 west building, in fact its taking me awhile with my work. I'm re-doing 85 west, working on 60 wall street, thurgood marshall U.S. courthouse, downtown athletic club, at&t long lines, 130 liberty, my own twin towers, with the rest of the complex of the wtc(3-7) and several others. I also downloaded that one liberty plaza model, I started on it, but I think I should make my own instead of just changing someone elses with textures and roof junk, but I guess I'll keep it.
Agh... sorry but forgot to mention that it will take me longer because I think my simcity 4 deluxe disk has a virus...so I can only work on buildings in sketchup before BAT. I will send you the 3ds. files with their textures when I fully finish each one. What was your e-mail again?
ehanson@mail.com. Looking forward to your BAT's.

VERY NICE AND THAT WILL SAVE NAMING 1042 BUILDINGS FOR YOU AND YOUR OTHER BAT MEMBERS
