New York in the Making: BAT's in Progress

Here's a sneak peak of some New York BAT's in the making.

The Citigroup Center in Manhattan. Some of you may remember I made announcement about my BATing the Citigroup Center last spring. Work stopped for a while but I have resumed work on it now. I have finished the main section of the building and am moving on to nitelighting.

Sony Tower located a couple of blocks from the Citigroup Center in real life.

This BAT is nearer completion than the Citigroup Center, all that is left to do is tweak the night lighting and render it.

Be on the look out for these in the downloads section sometime this summer.

Great job on those buildings can't wait till they are availuable to download. Oh and(hope this doesn't annoy you) but is there any buildings you made that you have not put in the downloads section? Just curious.

Thanks,

There are some buildings that I've made that I haven't had time to release yet.

I'll try to make time to put some of them up in the downloads section.

Thanks for responding. I thought that I should also mention that I'm having a problem with 3 lots from the downlads section, some of the props in 1009 Fith avenue, Park Lane Hotel, and Grace Building don't show up. Thought I should Bring that up. I do have your NY street props, they show up, it's some other ones.

Sorry about that and thanks for letting me know. I'll have to check into that, I might need to make a dependency pack.

The missing props aren't showing up as ugly brown boxes are they?

They don't show as the brown boxes, but they don't show up at all. Forgot to mention the Brownstone one is missing the building next to it.

Thanks for letting me know about the brownstones also. I'll release a props pack ASAP.

Where do you get textures like that for the B.A.Ts?

ehanson said...

I get them right off the reference photos (usually from high resolution images)

Hope that helps,
ehanson

May I ask what buildings your are going to do next?

I have a question about textures(if I may ask), if I take some textures from sketchup models for my own models, and upload them(my creations with textures from sketchup models) to a website like Simtropolis, would that be bad?

ehanson said...

That would be fine.

As long as the models are your own creations made from scratch there shouldn't be a problem.

Thanks, my models are from scratch, but just in case I still used the Maxis textures that came with the B.A.T.
