Touch Screens coming to a Taxi Near You

Some quick taxi talk from the streets of SimCity. Your cab may look a bit different inside next time you hop in. The New York Taxi and Limousine Commission announced it is putting in touch screen LCD screens. From NY1,

"Starting Monday touch screens will start showing up in taxicabs across the city.

The touch screen tells passengers where they are in the city, where the good restaurants are, and if their flight is delayed. The touch screen even allows riders to pick the music.

The commissioner of the city's Taxi & Limo Commission predicts the new features will be a hit with tourists and native New Yorkers alike.
The touch screens will also allow passengers to pay for their cab fare with credit cards. You can read more at NY1.
