Photomapping New York

For those of you that have been to Google Streetview you know how useful it is to cruise take a virtual cruise up and down the street to see what your destination looks like or what the neighborhood around a house you're thinking of buying is like.

Though, Google Streetview is also handy making my 3D map of New York and comparing accuracy with the real New York to the virtual one.

Check it out and hit the streets of New York in Google Streetview if you haven't already. (Be sure to check for out your own town if it's mapped.)

I also ran across another cool tool similar to Streetview for NYCJ, Every Scape. is also a visual mapping service but it has images that are a bit higher resolution which is good for making textures.

Have fun and happy mapping. More coming up next time.
